Description

2 inch Flush Valve Flapper Balls, Vintage Toilets 2 inch Flush Valves : Multiple options

A flapper ball is a heavy, often cone-shaped object that is found in older toilets instead of a rubber or silicone flapper. The flapper ball is attached to a lift rod that operates similarly to a flapper and lift chain. When the toilet handle is pressed, the lift chain raises the flapper ball, which allows water to flow into the bowl. The flapper ball then stops the flow of water to prevent the toilet from continuously running.

To determine the correct size flapper for your toilet, measure the diameter of the drain hole and the height of the ball.
Most drain holes are 2 inches in diameter, so a standard 2-inch flapper is usually needed.
Another thing to check is the connection type, most are “screw in” but there are “snap in” ones as well.
